Message From The Director: That’s A Wrap! (Kinda)
What a wild month it has been!
After a successful IndieGoGo campaign, we managed to raise $4025.00 for our short horror film The Acrylic. Our production weekend was busy, but everything went smoothly and extremely well. Friday want spent acquiring our equipment and putting together all our last minute details, including designing a set wall in the tiny apartment space we were shooting at (The Director’s Apartment.)
Day One we spent filming at the first apartment location, then we broke for lunch and moved to our beautiful Art Gallery at the Rebecca Gallery at 1011 Bloor Street West in Toronto’s West End Neighbourhood.
Day Two we had all hands on deck, as we worked on the climax of our film, featuring our monster in full make up.
I cannot thank everyone enough for their support on this project. From our hardworking production assistants, to our IndieGoGo backers, to the extremely talented cast and crew. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to bring this project to you when all is said and done.
Although the hard work of Pre-Production and Production are finished, we have officially started work on our Post-Production for this film. Stay tuned for special updates regarding this project, future projects, and even some chances to win prizes closer to our release date this Spring 2019.
Official IndieGoGo Campaign launched for “The Acrylic”
Hey Guys
It’s Monday Night. You’re probably at home, scrolling through your phones, browsing reddit, or perhaps you’re about to stumble upon this WordPress post of mine. Whatever you’re doing right now, please stop and consider what I’m about to say.
I’ve officially launched an IndieGoGo campaign for my upcoming film project “The Acrylic” … I’m making this film regardless of the amount of money I manage to raise, but your support in this would be so incredibly appreciated.
If I’ve ever worked with you whether it be our various retail jobs, or film projects, or maybe we’ve been friends for a very long time, you’ll know that I very rarely ask for anything. I’ve always been the people pleasure who wants nothing than to make others happy. However, this time I’m asking for your help. I’m asking for your support.
If you aren’t comfortable donating through IndieGoGo and you still want to help, please reach out to me. I’m making the best effort I can to make this dream of mine a reality. I’m done with the screenwriting competitions. I need to make films. I need to make my own films. And I need help.
It takes less than a few minutes to donate. If you’d rather share this campaign with your own friends, I’d appreciate that just as much. Help me spread the word for a project that I’m enormously passionate about bringing to life and showing all of you what it is I’ve been wanting to do for my entire life.
